    Geothermal Installation

The earth is the ultimate solar panel, absorbing as much as 50% of the solar energy that reaches us each day. As a result, the temperature six feet underground remains a steady 68–72 degrees most of the year and almost never drops below 50 degrees, even when the air temperature is well below freezing. We can tap into that energy through a geothermal system, and the type of installation will depend on where your home or business is situated and how large of a space needs to be heated and cooled.

There are two geothermal loop types available – closed and open. In a closed loop, the same water or refrigerant is circulated through a system of pipes to extract heat energy from the ground under your home or office building. A closed loop can be either horizontal or vertical – larger buildings often require a vertical closed loop to ensure there is sufficient heat available all year. We will work with you to determine which type of loop you need, and which one fits within your budget. Feel free to call us any time with questions, or you can contact us here. We’re happy to answer questions or set up a consultation with you. Get in touch with us today!

    Geothermal Installation Process

Cincinnati geothermal installation is done with special equipment designed to maximize the efficiency of your geothermal system. Drilling is not required for horizontal closed loops – just excavation of the property, but for a vertical closed loop, a fairly deep hole will need to be drilled for the installation process to be complete. The process can take anywhere between one and five days to complete, depending on the composition of the earth beneath the structure and any permits and regulations required for the drilling.
